YOUR JOB
Describe what inexpensive lighting items you will use to setup my little 'studio'. I will buy whatever items are needed. I can buy them from you if you happen to have surplus stuff. Most importantly, you need to setup a system so that ensures identical photographs each day. This includes:

- a technique to ensure it is easy to replicate the distance from the camera to my face, should the tripod be moved
- setting up lighting and backdrop
- taking a couple of photographs, using my camera, to demonstrate that the system you setup will do what is required.

I do not want to rely on daylight lighting, as that varies from day to day.

YouTube has a video called LIGHTING ON THE CHEAP which shows cheap ways to setup lighting. This is about all I know about setting up lights. You may have other ideas.

PAY
My guess is that it will take a hour or two for someone who is creative and competent. Pay is $80.

You'll need to drive to where I live. I live in Woodside, on Skyline Blvd, not too far from Alice's Restaurant (near the junction of 84 and 35). It's about 25 minutes from the Sand Hill exit off highway 280.

Please be as detailed as possible in your reply, describe your experience in setting up lighting for portraits (using inexpensive materials).

As much as I love styling warhammer figurines, for whatever reason, I now have way more armies I have to paint than either I or my friends can handle.

So I want to use graphics to get my messages across to potential clients. I'm excited about the ideas I've come up with so far and think it will be tons of fun creating the images. I'd say the first place to start is the beta website at www.cfconsulting.org where you can see a simple summary of the launch services. What I need to create graphically are:


1) 3-fold Brochure with transferable graphics to website (there are 3 main graphics pieces already sketched by me and just need to be put into magical graphic form). this is the first phase to test out my graphic guru. If you feel inspired to mock something up feel free. these two drawings I'd like colorful and using some kind of congruent icons. So in the end it's 3 graphics pieces i'm after and they are not so complicated. I'm open to a motion graphics piece to of before and after. So I'd like to hear how you envision a 3-fold brochure going and how it could work on the website (or a new website better long term).

Then, assuming all goes well, I'd like to roll out a full package of branded pieces and items for the business model:

2) A 1-page "certified community-first business" to recognize businesses who implemented CSR Plans

3) Community First Certified Business Logo Print for clients who implement the CSR plan

I am open to working long term with a graphics guru or budding graphics guru but I'm a small startup for now but, as you see with Peace Pedalers my last project, I generally have success with things I'm passionate about.

I'm a serious photographer working on a project that requires really complicated avant-garde hair styles. I have ideas for the pictures, I have a studio and all equipment, I only need a hair stylist who can suggest some ways and make my ideas come true. The result will be fine art pictures. This is a short term project, probably no more than 5 pictures. But the hair styles should be really outstanding.
