Documentary in need of emergency assistance - July 9th (Crissy Field)

Feature documentary filming half day in San Francisco/Crissy Field needs experienced camera operator/DP to assist in final day of filming. We have been on the road filming an epic story of two women recreating the drive of the first woman to drive across America 100 years ago. Unfortunately, our cinematographer had a death in the family and had to leave unexpectedly.

Our final day of shooting will begin around 9 a.m. in San Rafael as we drive the 100 year old car into the city, over the Golden Gate Bridge and terminate at Crissy Field where there will be some verite shooting of celebration and then a handful of sit down interviews. We are filming on the Panasonic HPX500 and HVX200 cameras and have all the gear, cards and everything we need.

I am reaching out to the production world to enlist someone who would be willing to work for free for about 6 hours on July 9th. Copy, Credit, Gasoline, Meals provided and we can discuss alternate methods of payment if need be - in-kind production assistance in New York Cty etc. I am a producer and director with numerous TV credits and experience. This is a project I have been working on for nearly 4 years and have no investors, just myself.

I'm looking for someone to help decorate for my wedding. I only require help decorating the venue, which is a small tent. Everything else (flowers, centerpieces, linens) is taken care of. I'm looking for the entrance and walls to be completed. The theme of my wedding is an oak tree, to symbolize Oakland, and the color scheme is bright lime green and chocolate brown. I'm not looking for anything too fancy or showy--just a few fake trees or foliage overhead when guests walk in, and maybe hang a small backdrop for photos that guests may stand in front of (you know, like prom pictures!)

BACKGROUND:
I'm seeking a videographer who can shoot some interviews with me. I'm a career and life transition coach and and need to document the way that I help people through life and professional transitions. It's a specialized methodology, but underneath, it's pretty simple. I have some terminology that is unique to my practice, and I want to highlight the benefits of my approach to others.

I'd like help createing 2 to 6 videos, each under 5 minutes (preferably under 3:30) that I can put on my website. They will ideally be a mix of interview with me (at lease one with an interviewer, who I will secure) and some still and/or moving images to illustrate the points, plus some captions and attractive transitions.

If we have a good collaboration, I can imagine doing at least 1 video a month for a special highlight on my website, or perhaps more.

I'd like to shoot these videos in a combination of indoor (attractive office) and outdoor (nature) settings.

I've never hired a videographer before, so you can also help educate me about pricing.

These (Too Good Too Be True) little white lies are actually intended to glean your email addresses for the purposes of Spamming a Specific Audience. DO NOT respond with your primary address! You should, for your own protection, use a "disposable" email link with a limited life span. This will eventually thwart these creeps from their activities.

Dayjams (www.dayjams.com) is a rock music day camp for kids aged 8-15. We need two Guitar Teachers for the first week of camp which is July 27 - July 31. The location is Mid-Peninsula High School in Menlo Park. Staff works as a tight-knit team to help advance music education for kids and teens.

The format of the camp is centered around the band experience. Students will have classes in their instrument, but most of the time they will have class with their band. The band will write an original song, design a band logo and t-shirt and have band practice. There is also rec time for sports or other activities.

The music teachers will teach two classes a day in their instrument as well as mentor their band. As a band mentor the music teacher will support the band in writing an original song (curriculum provided), help make sure all students are involved and active in the process and help with band practices.

Music teacher (guitar)
A DayJams music teacher must have the following qualifications:
* proficient at instrument
* at least two years full time teaching experience (or four years of half time teaching, etc)
* experienced teacher with ability to teach students of many levels
* comfortable working with up to eight students at a time
* familiarity with how a band works
* friendly, approachable and supportive
* ability to teach to existing, standardized curriculum
* knowledge of other instruments besides guitar is a plus

Staff is expected to attend a training session in advance of camp, help set up the weekend before camp and work 8:30 - 5:30 (not including an hour break) the days of camp. The Friday of each week is the student concert, and the staff is asked to stay until the concert is done (~7 pm). Pay is $500/wk + $25 referral for new students + your child can attend at a deep discount.

Wanted: Fix my old AM Radio / Record Player (lower pac hts)

I have an old record player and AM radio unit from the 1940s that needs fixing! It's probably worth nothing, but it was my late grandmother's so it has a lot of sentimental value. The AM radio works fine and the sound comes in pretty clear through the built-in speakers. The problem is with the record player - the turntable works fine, but the sound doesn't come out of the speakers. You can hear the music faintly through the needle, but the sound isn't getting to the speakers.

I've called record player repair shops and they charge $100 just for taking a look at it! I have pictures of the record player available (see link below) so I'm looking for someone that can tell me whether or not it's fixable without me spending $100.

I'm looking for a photo assistant to help with a family event shoot on July 11th. There are two parts to the shoot, but I only need assistance for first part, starting at 8:30am in Oakland. Mostly it will be helping with the arrangement, holding reflectors, and learning what it's all about. Obviously if you are interested in staying for longer, and shooting with your own equipment, you're welcome to. Please send a little info about yourself and link to some of your work on-line.

Startup company, with a newly developed website, is looking for a designer to complete the site with the right design. The layout has been completed, we simply need to pull everything together with a simple, clean, open, classy design. We only need the home page and one inside page designed.

Would be ideally completed in Fireworks, but we can take most other layered document types as well.

Looking for quick turnaround and simple/clean design.
