Our 35+ summer team is looking for baseball players 35 years old or older with experience who are ready to step on the field next March and produce.

We're open to improving the team at almost every position. We've got a talented core of players who are good teammates but overall as a team we do need to improve. Again, 35 years old and older.

On weekends throughout the year when there are no scheduled BAMSBL games there will probably be a pickup game. I provide regulation bases, quality baseballs and one umpire. The cost is $8-$10 per player per game. You'll be required to sign a liability waiver. If you've never played or haven't played in a very long time you might want to get with someone and take some batting practice and throw the ball around a little before playing an actual game. The pitching varies in these games from 40mph to 80mph+ depending on who signs up. So be ready! As Ty Cobb once said, "It's no pink tea, and mollycoddles had better stay out."

Since we've first started riding as a club, we have rode around Sonoma, Marin, Lake, SF, and Napa counties. (Other ideas/areas are open for discussion as well)

There are times we feel that we would enjoy more company to share our thoughts and experiences with.

I am organizing a new adult softball team for gay and gay friendly people. If this sounds interesting to you and you�re looking to meet new people in your area and have a great time doing so then this may be a great opportunity for you. We are looking for individuals or couples that like to played softball.

The team will be apart of the:

Silicon Valley Softball League (SVSL) is the first league of its kind in Santa Clara Valley to provide an athletic, recreational, and social opportunity to gay and lesbian people of the greater San Jose area as well as gay-friendly players, through participation in organized softball league competition.

The team will be practicing once during the week and playing games on Thursday anytime between 6:40-10:00pm. Players need to be committed for the season, drama free, and willing to be apart of a team. This team is in the �D� division. Practices will begin in January (weather permitting). Games will be played at Twin Creeks in Sunnyvale. Season starts up in March/April. Cost is $80 to cover the spring seasons; due in March.

We are looking for some people to round out a new D&D game. We played growing up, but haven't found time to play as adults until recently. Having dabbled a bit in some other groups, we're ready to start our own game with some really great people. And there's the rub; most of our friends are non-gamers, so we're spreading the net a bit wider.

Us: Two relatively normal people, with a healthy dose of closet-nerd sprinkled in. We have jobs and families and pay our taxes. You'd never pick us out of a line-up of potential D&D players, but we're not ashamed of admitting that we'd happily spend an evening hacking up goblins. One of us will be the Dungeon Master, and the other will be one of the players. We may have found another one or two already, but that still leaves at least two spots and maybe more (ideally we'd have 5 players, but 4 would work in a pinch).

You: Maybe you're like us; you think of playing now and then, but have no idea with whom you'd play. Maybe you played as a kid, and maybe you didn't. Maybe you wanted to, but your older brother didn't let you. It's a plus if you know the rules, but not knowing them is okay, too, as long as you're willing to do a little homework. You could be any age, any race (except Orc), male or female, whatever. Most importantly, you're interested in having fun as part of a collaborative, supportive, creative, open-minded group.

The Style: Casual - in other words, we don't spend the evening speaking in funny accents. We do take the game "seriously," but by that we just mean that we pay attention and we put effort into the game being more fun for everybody. We also place importance on teamwork - otherwise, what's the point of getting together?

Specifics: We're currently planning on playing 2 or 3 nights per month, depending on people's schedules. We'd start at 6 or 7 and go until we get tired. Dinner would be take out. We'll also post some stuff online so we can make better time of our in-person sessions (e.g., the DM might set up the next session a bit and the players might make some group decisions that get them to the next dungeon or city or wherever). One of us lives in the South part of San Francisco and the other lives in Palo Alto (about 35 minutes away). We'd probably meet in different locations depending on where we all lived and try to balance out the driving.

Hey Potential Travel Buddies!!

I will be traveling to Thailand February 2010 for vacation. My boyfriend can't go and none of my friends are interested in going. So, I thought I would try to find a travel buddy here on Craig�s List! Ideally, you would be a female in your late-20's to late-30's (I am a 32 year old female). I am very easy going, friendly, laid back and definitely not into drama. I am a non-smoker and a social drinker. I generally would have no issue traveling alone but I think Thailand is best explored with a friend. I would like to spend about 2 weeks there, maybe more, exploring everywhere from Bangkok to Phuket and many of the other amazing places Thailand has to offer.

In addition to taking in the amazing culture, people and food of Thailand, I also want to enjoy the nightlife (another House music lover would be a plus!). My usual travel style is backpacking on a budget although splurging every once and awhile is ok with me. :O)

Play Soccer in the Winter (berkeley)

Our adult recreational co-ed soccer league is now accepting teams for the winter season. It is 8v8 (5 men and 3 women, the 8 includes a goalie), refs, medium sized goals, and half-fields. The fields are turf and games are played rain or shine. Games are in Berkeley on Sundays, are 1hr long, and can start anytime from 1-7pm. The season goes from Dec 6 to Feb 28 and no games on the holiday weekends, Dec 27 or Jan 3. Team registration is $525.

Cheerleading AUDITIONS for the 2010 season!

A brand new East Bay cheerleading team is seeking female cheerleaders, 21 and older, to audition for the 2010 season!

Strong cheerleaders wanted. Stunting and tumbling experience highly desirable but not mandatory. Dancers will get a chance to showcase their skills.

Auditions will be held some time in January (possibly later if the interest list is short).

Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 6-8PM in the East Bay; more practice days will be added as we get closer to scheduled performances.

Plese come ready to learn a cheer and show us any special skills. Hair must be pulled back. Have a short, unique cheer memorized. It could be totally original or one you learned with a former team.

We will be cheering at community events (TBD) and at competitions (perhaps as a showcase team).

Our colors are Columbia blue, black, silver and white!

Pre-requisites: A basic knowledge of using a computer is required.

How is the Camp structured?
Every day is divided into 2 sessions (9-12 and 1-3). We take a snack break at 10:30 and 2pm.
Every child uses their own laptop and is provided with all materials, including CDs, printed materials, and a flash-drive to keep.

What will you learn?
Students will use the following software:
1. SketchUp - We will make our own 3D models and export them into Google Earth.
2. GarageBand - Students will compose their own digital music and burn CDs to take home.
3. Stop Motion - We will create our own cartoons and animations with clay.

Cost: $120 for 4 days. $30 per half day.

I am a outdoor person .
But I have lost me way. If I get several persons to do a say 1.5 hour something at least twice a week I will get back to my more closer to my set point.
The theory goes as this. I might be able to beat the Pulmonary Fibrosis that is of the Idiopathic cause.
Which means they do not know the reason it is happening to me.
I am 61 of sound physical background.
If the workout or what one would call it was to happen the specific timing of when and ??? I can adapt.
I know Santa Clara county real good so an event would have adventure and some difficulty.

Berkeley RFC are coming off another great season, with a winning record and a trip to playoffs for the third straight season. We are looking for some more bodies to join the team as we build towards the next season. We are a Mens Div III rugby team that enjoys good rugby, and above all, good camaraderie.

We are one of the best organized and best coached teams around. With great depth of numbers, we cater to players of all levels of experience - from rookies to veteran war horses. We also offer the best training facilities in the bay area, training on the just-opened, state of the art all-weather Gilman fields, just off the 80.

All interested guys from the SF East bay are invited to check the team out. We range in ages from 19-45, from 150 - 320 llbs, and in experience from total beginners to 20-year rugby year veterans and national-level players. Many of our team are foreigners, or guys getting back into rugby after years of semi-retirement. We play serious matches, B side matches, and social matches. We welcome anyone to check it out, whether you want to play rugby 24-7, or if you just want to come out for a run with us as time permits. We have a full B side which plays after the A side games, and which is ideal for less experienced guys, and guys who want to be part-time members of the club and get a few games in over the season. Experienced players are always welcome, and this is the perfect time for rookie players to join in.

Preseason training has just started (every Monday, 7pm at Gilman field). In December we also train on Thursday 7pm, as we build up towards competitive play in January - at which point training moves to Wednesday nights. Contact the club or check the website for training field location information.

Since we formed in Feb 2004, we have embarked on five great team tours [MBA world champs -Duke (made semis), Mexico city 10s (made semis), Thunderbird, AZ (beaten finalists) and Maggotfest, Montana (twice)], and have completed four seasons in the Nor-Cal Men's Div III league. We will be playing in Arizona in December 2009.
